    Magazine Subscriptions

Does anyone out there subscribe to any magazines for your children that you'd like to recommend. My daughter is preschool aged and magazines geared to that age would be great.

Ranger Rick is the best one I know for preschoolers-well now come to think of it even my 11 year old still loves it! Also Highlights for Kids is great!

Romans 5:17-18 (New King James Version)

17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

    Kelly,

I really like the preschool version of Highlights magazine too called Highlights High Five. For a limited time it even comes with a kids calendar with stickers!

I've also done preschool Weekly Readers with kids too. They are like newspapers for kids and include various topics in each issue like growing plants, the five senses, seasons, holidays, eating healthy, etc. on a preschool level. When my son was that age, we actually ordered the Weekly Readers with 4 friends so we would get the discount and only pay $5 for a year of Weekly Readers instead of $30. The Weekly Readers were sent to me once a month or every two months (I don't remember which) and then we would give them out to our friends. I saved our Weekly Readers and gave a new one to our son each week. He liked having his own newspaper.

    Just some ideas.

I use to get the Weekly Reader and National Geography for kids.
My daughter loved them. Just this year her Auntee move her into the regular National Geography, it is going to be so fun.
I can read them as well.

Every night at bed time she would read the National Geography for kids to me.
Now she has a nook and I am thinking about getting her a teen magazine.

Just wanted to let you know that you can check magazines out at the local libraries for free too. I don't do that for my son, he will rip them, but for my 11 year old daughter it is good, since they are read very quickly and it helps keep costs down.

My daughter is two and I can't trust her not to rip or color anything in someone else's magazine, plus I like to use them in our Arts and crafts projects. When she is older I will probably check out the library thing. Thanks for the tip.

Oh I was actually talking to abc about her teen, sorry I should have used the quote.
