  1. I have now 80 pounds off. Still leanning on the Lord for strenght and courage. I have been reading some of the forum, one says,"no temptaion will come to you". WRONG!!!!! As long as you try hard to do right no matter what it is in Life, and you are trying to do what God have you to, there is always temptions. Cause that is when Satan bugs us the most with the temptations. You don't have to do them. But he is going to try to talk you into it. This is when Faith comes in. Trust, and Obey, keep the Faith. I believe with all my heart God can get us through anything. Right Ladies????? He will get us through weather you becoming a Mom, or started to be a Mom, or have been a Mom for years. He knows our troubles and He still Loves us and will guide us. If we just lay the burden down at His feet and pick up our cross and keep on going we will be fine. Mighty Fine! Thanks for the Birthday greeting I love everyone of you with all my heart. even if I have never meet you. That is what Jesus taught me.
  2. I have lost 60 pounds now. I thank God for His helping me. Through Him was the only way I was going to start getting this weight off. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me."
  3. When I felt that coming on I would tell my husband I need some time to myself. I would go to a park and walk or watch a favorite moive at home or call a friend on the phone. But most of the time I endde up talking to the Lord about how I feel. He knows how we feel but He likes to hear us talk to Him. He will give you that peace inside for making an effort to confid in Him.
  4. Great Advise Stephie. I believe in putting God first. My husband and I have been married 27 years now. I always thought my husband was the perfect one. He made some mistakes years ago and told me about them a few weeks ago. I was shocked and numb, for a moment. Where we were stading when he told me, was in the living room in front of a large picture of Jesus. Now I have to tell this picture of Jesus is not like most pictures you see of Jesus. I found this and the peace in His face, and his hair was soft but only neck length. There such a calm in his face. It reminded me of a verse "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afriad. John 14:27 (KJV). My husband asked me to forgive him. I told him I would. Because I love him. I believed he loved me or he would have done been gone. He always knew how to make me smile. I asked him for advise alot. Cause I considered him also a great friend of mine. We shared many hardaches and trial in the life. For many year he got out of church. Now almost 6 or 7 years he been back in a faithful. We are living in a time now, Where there are just a few who tries to keep a marriage together. It is so hard on the kids cause they first blame themselves. I have to wonderful sons. And I have had my battles with them. But I still go to God in prayer when trials comes. Yes, talking to one another is a blessing. And talking to God reliefs stress. And keeping God frist in your lives is the Best!
  5. Honey, It is a hard road to go on. I know I just got off the scales I had finially lost 54 pounds. I still have a ways to go. I have tried all kinds of diets. This one I ask with all of my heart and soul for the Lord to help me. But I knew that I would have to do for him too. I read a bible verse everyday. It gives me strenght. Here is one verse; "For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted he is able to succour them that are tempted. Hebrews 2:18 (KJV) When we get particularly low during our dieting times, we feel so alone and alienated. People pat us on the back and tell us they know how we feel, but we know they really don't. There are times we feel certain that no one know how we feel. Rest assured, though, that Jesus knows how hard it is, and He wants to comfort us, especially when the going gets the toughest. If we turn to Him he will give us comfort and strength in the darkest times. He's been there before us, and He is willing to walk our path with us. When we welcome Him in, He will grant us comfort. No matter how lonely you might feel, Jesus is right beside you!
  6. Hi I'm finialy losing weight. I am 45 years old I have diabetes. We got the home buisness job that just isn't working out for us to have insurance. Last year about April or may I got on the scales I weighed 310 pounds the most I ever weighted. I thought, dear lord I have to have your help. I got down and prayed asking the Lord to help me. Now I have lost 54 pounds. Just leaning on him. I also take "Chromium Picolinate" and "L- Cartinina". You can get that from the vitamas section. My sugar has come down about 230 points. This is not for any body. I had to do something since I couldn't afford my medication. When I quit taken my medication, (cause I couldn't buy them). I leand on the Lord to help me. I know that He has healed the Blind, deaf, Lame and mute in the Bible. But I believe He can heal today if we put our whole trust in Him. I believe that some that does not heal and is one of his children is a testimony to help others, to encourage us to keep on going. I hope if there is any misspelling please excuse me. I am so excited. I can't help but thanking God for helping me through this. I am saved by His Grace, when I was 10 years old. I have been saved every since and He is daily with Him. IF you don't trust me. Ask the blind man he saw it all! For more infor about me. I wear glasses, I am half deaf (nerve deafness since birth) I had 3 c-sections (from the brith of my 2 sons and a tubal. The last 2 C-sections was 6 month apart. I almost died. There is nothing that God can't do for you. God can do anything that He knows you need. Not want. He is forgivien and loving and most of all very understanding!
  7. Hi, I'm Shelia and I have enjoyed this site. But I am still fairly new. I agree with some and some I don't. But still everyone is on the same track when it's said, to trust in Him. Tithe can also be giving of yourself to the Lord. Like things you do in church or out helping others. God understands when you are low on income. He also expects us to care for our families. Like feeding them and keeping our bills paid. God also understands women having to work to keep your home in shape for live in and your families health. God gives us knowledge in different areas; like teaching, working in factorys, waitresses, doctors, nurses, and etc. The Old Testment is guideline to everyone to trust in God. The New Testment is fulfilled to make us responseable for our own sins. All through the Bible gives us guides on our finances. (When it seem Impossible To Pay Your Bills) 2 Chronicles 15:7 "Be ye stronge therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded." Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him." Psalm 31:3 "For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me." Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct thee and teach thee in thy way which thou shalt go: I will teach thee with mine eye." Proverbs 2:6 "for the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 10:4 "He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of diligent maketh rich." Proverbs 19:17 "He that pity upon the poor leandeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again." Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" That is from the Bible (King James Version) Me and my husband has been working over three years now in our Buisness, together. When times were tough, and doubt was all over me. God showed me it was a purpose. God has a porpose for each and every one of us. One more thing through our tough times it was very hard to give tithe. But we help with the church volnteerly; like Things broke down my husband fix of no charge. When I dircerted the Christmas program I vaccumed the chruch after it was over so the janitor didn't have too. We would go places with the youth to help chapron. God understand all things.
  8. I can say I understand very much. I need to lose 145 pounds. I have lost 27pounds. It's slow but it helps. I have to lean on God to get me through. Just want you to know you are in my prayers.
  9. Help me pray that my husband gets the job There is a job open he would like to get and it has good benifits. And we are not getting any younger. I am Diebtic and the med. and supplies are not cheap. Exspeically when you pay it out of your own pocket. He really needs this job. Just pray that it might be God's will. Thank You!
  10. Philippans 4:13 "I can do all things in through Christ which strenghteneth me. Ecclesiates 7:20 Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men. . . Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strenghtening him. 1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his enternal glory by Christ Jesus after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strenghten, settle you. We all need strenghten and another way God sees to our needs are friends who can give words of incoruagement, that He lays on those hearts. We all struggle. As long as we are trying to serve the Lord. Satan's is going to try to pull us down. My prayers is with each and every one of you I pray that you will remember me too. I struggle through my weaknesses and broken heart. I have to ask for forgivness daily. I see things that happen in world that troubles me as my boys approch manhood. I teach Sunday School to 8-13 years old. I worry about them as well. I have to ask the Lord to help me and get myself out of the way so that I can pray for others. In a world were living in today. We need God more. To reach to those who doesn't know Him or even care. I give God praise for all He has done for me. He saved me spritially when I was 10, following baptistim. He blessed me we a fine family. My Daddy is a preacher. My Brother is a preacher. And his son is a preacher. I have had a uncle whom also was a preacher, who is with the Lord now. Isn't God so good. I am so glad I found this site.
  11. Your little one is in our prayers. I pray God will lay His healing hand upon your child. Don't lose faith. There is nothing God can't do, in His time.
