  1. My husband is a power lineman(he works on power lines) he left home in NC at 4:00 this morning for Oklahoma to help restore power to the nearly half million people that were affected by the major ice storm that hit. I ask that you please pray for the safety of everyone working to restore the state to a sense of normalcy and for the people of Oklahoma in their time of need. I would also appreciate prayers for my family We have 4 daughters and with their Dad's absence there will be a major part of our family gone from the home. They understand that he will be back we just don't know when it really worries them that he may not be here to celebrate Christmas with us. I pray for the strength to run my household and be the head of my family for the time he is gone

  4. Hi everyone, My name is Melissa, I'm not a new member but I haven't posted on the site in nearly a year! My husband and I have four girls ages 17,13,11 and 7. Needless to say it gets kind of hectic around here:eek: That's when my husband grabs his guitar and heads to the garage for some alone time with his testosterone:p Me, I like the craziness that comes along with having so many girls under the same roof. I look forward to getting to know all of you!!

    Alcohol

I don't think drinking alcohol is a sin but I do believe the reason you consume it could be. If you drink for the purpose of being drunk is sinful, having a glass of wine with dinner is o.k in my opinion. I choose not to drink myself I don't realy like the taste of the stuff. I come from a family with a very long history of alcoholism I thank the Lord that the cycle seems to have come to a halt with my sister and me. Very good subject!!! Melissa

So much of my time is spent taking care of them and my husband I rarely get to talk to other moms. Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE caring for my family but it will be a refreshing change to spend time making new friends. O.K I didn't know I could babble on and on while typing but I have. Sorry. Can't wait to get to know you all!! Melissa
