I'm in need of prayer

Recommended Posts

I don't even know how to voice my need without turning it into a pity party whine session. That's exactly the trouble - I've been stuck in a spot where I am not going to God with the sorrows of my heart and it is wearing at me incredibly. Please pray that I would go before His throne of grace and be refreshed. Pray that I would leave my own pride behind - the desire that I see justice done here and now - pray that I will trust God's timing. Pray that I will place my hope in the Lord and not in the things that are seen. Pray that I will feel the peace that surpasses understanding and that He may let me witness how His strength is made perfect in my weakness. I'm just dried up and turning cynical.

I'm not quite sure what you are struggling with, but I will pray for those things for you. God knows your need, and that is enough. ((Hugs to you)).

I feel the same way lately

Hi!

I've been feeling a bit dried up and cynical myself lately. Not seeking the Lord in all things and not in His word daily. I'm a stay at home mom and the weather that keeps me indoors has been getting to me. Feeling down, anxious and a bit depressed. Lots of changes going on in my life and family with serious health issues. I totally know how you feel, maybe we could pray for each other. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." This is one of my favorite verses.

God Bless,

Terri

Humbleness and brokenness in the sight if the Lord

Jesus is here for you and all of us. Confession rids us of our sins. Confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts.

It is a struggle to stay in the race, without a
pity party or whine
session.

In that very
spot that you are stuck in
, we have all been there, find a still place and press into Jesus. Seek him more than you have before. Seek and reach deep within your heart there is where Jesus live.

Stuck but not stuck for long.

Keep seeking, praying and fasting, that he will touch and speak to you.

Jesus is real today; this walk is not cake walk.

Seeking, praying, worshiping, praising and holding on to faith in Jesus that He will carry us through.

Take our burden to the Lord and leave them there.

It is not easy, we take them and pick them up again.

We take them and try to do something.

The power of the mind will lead you to some wrong places.

Again, take our burden to the Lord and leave them there. Trust God and keep pressing into Him.

There is
joy
in the Lord, there is
hope
in his
spirit
, and refreshness is in the power of his word.

We must be hearer and doer of his word; it is acting on our faith.

It is letting Christ work in you.

Pride, lay it all down, Humbleness and brokenness in the sight if the Lord

is what He desires. God is always on time. I have to learn this myself.

Father we pray right now for our dear sister

Father we pray this prayer for many, and well as for my self

Father we are standing on holy ground and your present is all around

Father we pray and ask for forgiveness of complaining and whining, and for the things that are not of you.

Father we pray and lift up our dear sister and ask if you would remove her from what she is seeing as being stuck, dried up and turning cynical,

Father we know that this road is not of you.

Father we ask if you would lead her in your word where she will find strength.

Father we ask if you would give her peace

Father we ask if you would minister to her in healing.

Father we thank you for moving this day in all of us to press toward the mark to the calling that you have called us to be.

Father we pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen
.

Haha! That made me smile. :)

To all - thank you so much for your prayers. It is so good to have people praying for you, calling the Spirit to wash over you, when you're just not getting it done yourself.

It's interesting... I've been praying that my heart would be broken by the things that break His... that I would not turn a deaf ears to the pains of this world... and, as He is answering my prayer - man, is this an ugly place! It seems everywhere I look I just see the pain that comes with the corruption of sin. And then I second-guess myself as to whether I'm just having a bad attitude and maybe I should be floating along without a care... but we know Christ was a man of sorrow. And I know that He's letting me see this for a reason and that reason is to "press into Him" (like abc said) and to be able to offer prayers of intercession... but I just haven't been doing it... yet. Thank you all for your encouragement and your prayers. Continue to remember me.

Thank you,

Laurie

Speaking of...

How cool is God? After I logged off the internet I actually obeyed the call to come sit and be refreshed and here are the verses being reviewed in the devotional I have been working through:

"Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary

and increases and power of the weak."

Isaiah 40:28-29

"So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 41:10

"I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

Genesis 28:15

A friend sent this one to me today and I thought about you.

I can do this! I am victorious.

I am renewed. I am ready and willing.

I am getting up! I am focused on my priorities.

I am getting stronger. I am willing to do what's best for my health

I am loved by God. and peace of mind.

I am too blessed to be stressed. I am growing in my faith, courage and wisdom.

SPEAK LIFE - by Joe Pace

Have you ever been in a dry place,

couldn't show it on your face

and you cry inside; Lord tell me why?

That relationship now broken,

so many hurts unspoken,

and you die inside, Lord tell me why?

Night after night you pray,

still nothing seems to ever change.

Remember God's word is true,

He knows the plan He has for you;

by faith, this is what you must do...

Just speak life to it,

just speak life through it;

knowing God's not a man that He should lie.

Have you ever been in a dry place,

couldn't show it on your face

and you cry inside; Lord tell me why.

That relationship now broken,

so many hurts unspoken,

and You die inside, Lord tell me why.

Night after night You pray,

still nothing seems to ever change.

Remember God's word is true,

He knows the plan He has for you;

by faith, this is what you must do?

Just speak life to it,

just speak life through it;

knowing God's not a man that He should lie.

Just hold on to it,

just go on through it,

to every dry bone in your valley,

just speak life.

Whatever happened to your dreams,

you struggle with your self-esteem

and you cry inside; Lord tell me why.

Frustration always on Your mind,

there's been no joy for quite sometime,

and you die inside; Lord tell me why.

Night after night You pray,

still nothing seems to ever change.

Remember God's word is true,

He knows the plan He has for you;

by faith, this is what you must do...

Just speak life to it,

just speak life through it;

knowing God's not a man that He should lie.

You may not see it right now,

still you must believe that somehow

God will work it out.

Though your bones may seem dry),

(you must now prophesy),

that "I shall live and not die."
