Daycare provider making my child feel bad for peeing in his pull-ups.

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the problem of daycare providers making their child feel bad for peeing in his pull-ups. I have been working with my son for a long time, and I just don't feel like he is ready to potty train. He is 3, but developmentally he is behind. He can't talk yet hardly. He is a very young 3 year old.

The other day, the older daycare lady told me the she told my son that he was being naughty for peeing in his pull-up. It's a family daycare but they are heavily affiliated with a program that is funded by the state, so the childcare is free 16 hrs. a week. I already had to remove him from his previous daycare because I saw them forcing my son to sit on the potty and he was screaming. It was just so disturbing to watch. I am just feeling sad and my heart is heavy. I don't want to have to keep taking him out of daycares! :( If any of you have some constructive advice, that would be greatly appreciated...
