abc 41 Posted April 27, 2020 Christianmom, Thank you for asking. I was going down the wrong road with my eating habits, plus coffee. I got advice from a nutrition's specialist. It has changed my whole life. First thing, I did was change my grocery store. I go now to Whole Foods, or Sprouts. Eating the right foods, doing a cleanse, walking and taking a beautiful baths. Worshipping, praying, Singing, Reading the word. As well as being an example, and giving advice to others. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (Jam 1:22 [KJV]).
abc 41 Posted May 12, 2020 Now that some of the cities are open, there is a greater chance of getting the virus. So, my daughter, and I decided to remain in place until we see what happens. People are anxious, and I do understand why. I am praying that the numbers does not increase the number of cases of coronavirus. The bible speaks for us to "6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6-7 [NKJV]). For now we are staying put.
abc 41 Posted May 18, 2020 It is very important that we stay healthy during this time. We should try and get in proper exercise on a weekly schedule. We must watch what we eat, especially if we are not active. We can manage meals if we put in in preparation time. Shopping for only what is needed, washing and cleaning way ahead of time. Meal planning the night before, or earlier morning preparations for (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I eat small meals, so I have to have the food ready, because I get hungry fast. I was walking 3 to 4 times a week. I have lost weight. I am getting lazy now, because I don't want to loose any more weight. I think I should continue to walk being in the house is not good. Walking is relaxing, and relieves stress. I have a spin bike, however I have to change the seat. What are some of you doing?
FOTSmom 0 Posted 20 hours ago It is more important than ever to stay healthy, but I wanted to note that I saw in very recent news that the average person has gained 30 pounds since the beginning of quarantine. This makes me very nervous as we all know obesity is a horrible killer in this country, and the claim is that obesity is a risk factor for COVID... So I guess I am mostly responding to this topic to strongly encourage everyone to use a BMI calculator. A healthy BMI is 18.5-24.9 and anything over or under is overweight or underweight. If nothing else, I encourage everyone to do what they can to keep themselves in the healthy range. If Obesity is TRULY a risk for covid, then controlling your own weight is probably more important than wearing a mask. Sure a mask "slows spread"... but controlling our weight might prevent death if what they are saying is true. Hope everyone is staying healthy.
