Recommended Posts

Would love to share with each other some of each other’s go to favorites for dinner! We occasionally get take out food, especially now to support some of our local businesses. Deciding what to make for dinner each night is always re-energized  when sharing ideas!

Wow a good one.

I saw this post a while ago. For many years we have been just cooking on the weekends.

All the other days we ate out, picking up fast foods, and take home. Now life, and new events in the world, has brought about a change.

Before  the stay home order I got really sick and I didn't want to go to hospital or doctor. So, I called a nutrition specialist, and she helped us get on track with meals and healthy eating.

I been feeling great, and I lost weight. I have to tell you that it took about two week to start feeling better. This was not my plan, I was forced to change.

I have been looking in the refrigerator, cabinets, and going to the store.

Now that we are on the stay at home order, we cook everyday. Nothing special, just what ever we put together out of the list to follow.

Our list consist of spring mix, onions, radishes, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, parsley, brussels sprouts, broccoli slaw, carrots, and celery.

Snacks: for me spinach bites. My daughter eats some type of chips, or she will pick up a snack like ice cream for the first time today.

Buy just enough to eat on the way home. Buy it in the street, and eat it in the street policy. She won't bring it home, so to speak,

Fruits, apples, oranges, grapefruits, bananas, and pairs. Walnuts and almonds.

Vegan butter, almond milk, frosty flake, rice Krispy, and oatmeal.

Salad dressings, are vegan selections.

Drinks are: water, and juice made from oranges, grapefruits, and lemons.

I get the Beyond meat products (plant based meats burgers, Italian sausages, ground beef etc. ). Chickpea pastas.

Chicken broth, vegetable gardening seasonings, 21 seasonings, cheyenne pepper.

Ezekiel's breads, and cauliflower tortillas.

We have managed to make some really good meals, surprisingly. With both of us being home we have managed to cook healthy meals. Why? because we finally have time.

Taking all natural supplement to build up my immune system. I walk 3-4 times a week, sing, and play cello.

My daughter cooks as well, but maybe once a week she will get a couple of tacos, from a taco stand near us, or fries from Chick-fil-A. I am not eating out at all for now.

We have cut our eating out bills, down to about 5% of our food budget.

What is listed here includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the time we eat breakfast and lunch, or breakfast and dinner, or lunch and dinner.

It was really fun responding to this post thanks to christianmom.
